I am a 40 year old married woman living In Turkey. Over the last four years I have rediscovered my love of painting and I want to be able to share my work with others and hope they enjoy looking at my art as much as I have enjoyed putting brush to canvas. I am a figurative artist whose predominant work focuses on the aesthetics of the female form in a contemporary style. Redbubble My work highlights the beauty of women of all ages and cultures in a unique manner. The paintings I produce embrace the curves, contours and gentility of the female body whilst evoking a sense of erotica. I also produce art covering a wide spectrum of other subjects: I paint, I photograph and I write. My art is eclectic in style and theme but my paintings tend to focus on the beauty and shapes of the female form.

Tiger
The tiger is the largest cat species and is the third largest land carnivore (behind only the polar bear and the brown bear). Its most recognizable feature is a pattern of dark vertical stripes on reddish-orange fur with a lighter underside.
Tigers are among the most recognisable and popular of the world’s charismatic animals. They have featured prominently in ancient mythology and folklore, and continue to be depicted in modern films and literature. Tigers appear on many flags, coats of arms, and as mascots for sporting teams. The Bengal tiger is the national animal of both India and Bangladesh.

Celtic He Loves Me He Loves Me Knot
Celtic crosses may have had origins in the early Coptic church. The similarity between the ankh, symbol of “life” and variations of the cross or ankh with a circle on Coptic stella and textiles from as early as the 5th century clearly show that the combination of circle and cross were used in early Christian Egypt. Although some experts say that the crosses were originally carved horizontally on stone, their geometrical ring construction and the fact that the lights in east-facing high crosses can be seen to refract early morning sunlight is indicative of vertical construction.

In Ireland, it is a popular myth that the Celtic Christian cross was introduced by Saint Patrick or possibly Saint Declan during his time converting the pagan Irish. It is believed that Saint Patrick combined the symbol of Christianity with the sun cross, to give pagan followers an idea of the importance of the cross by linking it with the idea of the life-giving properties of the sun.

Osteospermum: Whiter Shade of Pale
Osteospermum plants originate from South Africa and the name is derived from the Greek osteon (= bone) and Latin spermum (= seed). Osteospermums belong to the daisy family ( Compositae / Asteraceae), hence their common names: African Daisy or South African Daisy, Cape Daisy and Blue-eyed Daisy. There are about 50 species, native to Africa, 35 species in southern Africa, and southwestern Arabia. They are half-hardy perennials or subshrubs. Therefore they do not survive outdoor wintry conditions, but there is still a wide range of hardiness. Follow the link to see all my Osteospermum: Whiter Shade of PaleThe modest, unassuming beauty of the daisy has a playful, childlike character that brings joy and happiness wherever it arrives. The many coloured options of the daisy provide ample opportunity to match this lovely flower to a specific personality. No other flower can match the daisy for pure joy. White Tiger
The tiger is a symbol for power and energy all over the world. It is featured prominently in Chinese mythology and is the second best behind the lion in the badge of military ranking.
The tiger is a potent symbol across Asia and in many cultures. It has since been a fixture of tattooing in especially in India, Malaysia, Burma, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan and Cambodia. The tiger symbol is associated with power, passion, ferocity and sensuality. In addition to these it represents beauty and speed, cruelty and wrath and its appearance in dream is usually a sign of new power or passion that has awakened within an individual. In Asia the tiger is associated with power and mightiness of kings. This position is similar to those of Lions found in the Middle East and Europe. Koreans on the other hand named the tiger the King of the Animals. In India, god Shiva was seen in the aspect of the destroyer and was always depicted as wearing a tiger skin and riding on a tiger. Universally, the tiger is a symbol of power and strength and can also be a power of destruction and violence. The Chinese have images of tiger in their charms when casting away evil spirit. A Tulip Collection
A Tulip Collection by taiche

Although different tulip colors carry distinct meanings – yellow tulips symbolizing cheerful thoughts, white conveying forgiveness and purple representing royalty – a Turkish legend may be responsible for the red tulip’s symbolism. The story goes that a prince named Farhad was love struck by a maiden named Shirin. When Farhad learned that Shirin had been killed, he was so overcome with grief that he killed himself – riding his horse over the edge of a cliff. It’s said that a scarlet tulip sprang up from each droplet of his blood, giving the red tulip the meaning “perfect love.”Read more: Symbology of FlowersSeveral nations have a flower or plant that embodies their history. The tulip has been a long-standing symbol of the Netherlands since the early 17th century. Tulip bulbs were sold throughout Europe, and bulbs of rare species sometimes cost more than a house in Amsterdam during that time. The bamboo plant of China resembles strength and resilience, while the peony is supposed to help bring wealth and good fortune to the carrier.Tulip Declaration of love; perfect loverTHE MEANING & SYMBOLISM OF TULIP Originally from Persia and Turkey, tulips were brought to Europe in the 16th century, where they got their common name from the Turkish word for gauze (with which turbans were wrapped) – reflecting the turban-like appearance of a tulip in full bloom. By the 17th century, the popularity of tulips, particularly in the Netherlands, became so great that the price of a single bulb soared to new heights, causing markets to crash and putting into motion “tulip mania.”Although different tulip colors carry distinct meanings – yellow tulips symbolizing cheerful thoughts, white conveying forgiveness and purple representing royalty – a Turkish legend may be responsible for the red tulip’s symbolism.
